Widgets Overview
Wicked Plum provides widgets to do just about anything you’d want — widgets that make your blog awesomer, widgets that give your customers different ways to find just the right item, widgets that display links and provide a shortcut to the shopping cart and show your customer the last five new items you listed.
Here’s a guide to show you what widgets Wicked Plum has, and what they’ll do for you.
Shopping Widgets
- Search the Shop — A search box that allows customers to search your shop.
- View Cart — A “View Cart” button.
- Shop by Category — Displays your primary shop categories.
- Shop by Price (or Scent or Material) — Other options you can give your customers for finding just the right item.
- New Items — Shows the five most recent items added to your shop.
Blog Widgets
- Blog Archives — A list or dropdown menu (your choice) with the monthly archives for your blog.
- Recent Blog Comments — An easy way for your readers to find out who’s talking about what.
- Recent Blog Posts — Shows your five most recent blog posts.
- Blog Categories — Lists your blog categories.
Information Widgets
- Your Shop Links — Shows a list of links — it can be your blogroll, other shops you like, or links to your Facebook and other social media sites.
- Pages — A listing of your shop’s pages — About, Contact, Policy, and more.
- WP-SpamFree Counter — Shows how many spam comments have been stopped before they got to pollute your blog.
- Twitter — Your Twitter feed
Customizable Widgets
- Rich Text Editor — Good for putting whatever information you like into your sidebar — links, images, or text.
- Text — Like the Rich Text Editor, but uses HTML instead.
