The process to set up a ‘Keep in Touch’ widget is similar to that for creating a custom ‘Shop by’ widget, though it’s simpler.
Locate the ‘Links’ menu on the left sidebar, and click on ‘Add New’.
Here you’ll add links here to your Facebook page, your Twitter page, your newsletter signup, your contact page, anywhere your customers might want to go to keep track of what you’re doing.
Say you’re starting with your Twitter link. Put in the title and the URL…
…and add a link category called ‘Keep in Touch’.
Click on ‘Add Link’.
Now do this for the rest of your links. Since you’ve already added the ‘Keep in Touch’ category, just make sure that you select that category for each new link.
Now that you’ve added all your links, it’s time to display them. In the lefthand sidebar, click on ‘Widgets’, under ‘Appearance’.
Place the ‘Your Shop Links’ widget where you want it in your sidebar. (The widgets tutorial goes into more detail.)
The box will open up automatically. Click on ‘All Links’ and choose ‘Keep in Touch’.
Click on ‘Save’. You’ll now have a sidebar widget, titled ‘Keep in Touch’, that will display all of your social media links. Poof!
