So you’ve added a bunch of items, and you’ve found that you typed something wrong. Or left out an ingredient. One way or another, you’ve got to edit the thing.
There are a couple ways to get in to edit your item. The first (and most likely, if you’ve just discovered a typo) is to access it from the item page in your shop.
If you’re logged in, an edit link will appear just after the item title:
Fear not—that only appears to you; your customers won’t see it. Click on that, and it’ll take you to the Edit Item page for that item.
The other way to edit an item is from the back end—in the lefthand sidebar, click on ‘Items’ and ‘Manage’.
This will take you to a page listing all of your items.
You can scroll down to browse through your items, clicking on the ‘Previous/Next Page’ arrows to the right to navigate…
…or you can search in the search box above the arrows.
You can also narrow down what’s displayed by category…
…or by date.
Once you’ve found the item you want to edit, hover over it, and then click ‘Edit’.
Once you’ve gotten to your item, however you’ve done it, you’ll be at the Edit Item page.
Remember, unless you know how to code in HTML, you’re better off sticking with the ‘Visual’ tab, which gives you an easy-to-use WYSIWYG interface.
Use ‘Preview Changes’ to view the changes you’ve made…
…and when you’ve got it all just the way you want it, click ‘Save’.
Poof! Newly-edited item.
