How to Embed a Video or Multimedia File

If you’d like to embed a multimedia file (such as an Issuu Magazine viewer) in your blog, and have been provided with an HTML embed code, you’ve come to the right place. The process is much like adding a regular blog post, with a few steps added in the middle.

Step 1: Create the Blog Post
From your admin panel, create a new blog post or edit an existing post where you would like to embed your media file. Add your content (text, photos, etc.) as you normally would.

Step 2: Enter HTML Mode
When you reach the point in your post where you would like to insert the media file, click the HTML tab in the upper right corner of the editing window:

Copy the HTML embed code provided to you by the media source and paste it into the editing window. Click the Visual tab (to the left of the HTML tab) to return to the visual editor. The embedded object will appear as a yellow box – this is the placeholder for the media file that will show on the finished post.

Step 3: Publish your Post
Finish editing your post and publish as you would normally. Voilà! Here’s a sample file that was embedded using this process:
